How to Survive Long-Haul Flights

Back to Blog

Long-haul flights can be grueling, but with the right preparation, you can turn those 12+ hours in the air into an opportunity for rest and relaxation.

The Comfort Kit

Never board a long flight without your essential comfort kit:

  • Quality Neck Pillow: Opt for memory foam over inflatable versions.
  • Noise-Canceling Headphones: These are a game-changer for drowning out engine noise and crying babies.
  • Sleep Mask & Earplugs: Essential for creating a dark, quiet environment for sleep.

Hydration is Key

The air inside an airplane cabin is incredibly dry. Drink plenty of water before and during your flight. Avoid alcohol and caffeine, as they will only dehydrate you further and disrupt your sleep patterns.

Keep Moving

To prevent stiffness and reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), get up and walk around the cabin every few hours, and do simple stretching exercises in your seat.
